Materials for December Doily:
Size 10 cotton crochet thread - Approx 62 yds Natural, approx 115 yds Burgundy & approx 48 yds Forest Green (or desired colors); size 6 (1.8 mm) steel crochet hook (I used a Boye hook) OR Size Needed for Gauge (see Center #2 pattern for Gauge)

Finished Size:
About 19½" across at widest points when washed and blocked

Special Stitches for this Doily:
In addition to Special Stitches for Center
Double Treble Crochet (dtr) - yo 3 times, insert hook in st indicated, draw loop through, (yo, draw through 2 loops on hook) 4 times
Beginning Shell (beg shl) - sl st in each of next 2 dc and into ch-3 sp, (ch 3, 2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in same sp
Shell (shl) - (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in ch sp indicated
Shell in Shell (shl in shl) - work Shell in ch-3 sp of next Shell
Beginning Shell Increase (beg shl inc) - sl st in each of next 2 dc and in first 2 chs of ch-3 sp, (ch 3, dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in same sp {this shl inc will be completed at the end of the Rnd}
Shell Increase (shl inc) - 2 dc in ch-3 sp of next Shell, (ch 3, 2 dc) 2 times in same sp
Double Crochet Decrease (dc dec) - holding last loops of sts on hook, dc in same ch sp as last dc and in ch-3 sp of next Shell, yo, draw through all 3 loops on hook
Shell Decrease (shl dec) - 2 dc in ch-3 sp of next Shell, dc dec, 2 dc in same ch sp as last half of dc dec
Cluster (cl) - holding last loops of sts on hook, dc in each of next 3 sts, yo, draw through all 4 loops on hook
Treble Crochet Decrease (tr dec) - holding last loops of sts on hook, tr in each of next 2 ch sps, yo, draw through all 3 loops on hook

With Natural, work Center #2.  Fasten Off at end of Rnd 7, then continue as follows:

RND 29: sl st in first 2 ch of next ch-10 lp, ch 1, 7 sc in same lp, *ch 3, (tr, ch 3) 4 times in next ch-10 lp**, 7 sc in next ch-10 lp*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at**, join with sl st in top of first sc. (100 tr, 125 ch-3 sps, 175 sc)

RND 30: sl st in next 3 sc, ch 1, sc in same st as last sl st, *ch 3, sk next 3 sc and next ch-3 sp, (tr, p) 2 times in next tr, (tr in next tr, p) 2 times, (tr, p, tr) in next tr, ch 3, sk next ch-3 sp and next 3 sc**, sc in next sc*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at**, join with sl st in top of first sc.  Fasten Off Forest Green.  Weave in ends.
