Materials for December Doily:
Size 10 cotton crochet thread - approx. 30 yds EACH Burgundy, Forest Green & New Ecru
.
Gauge:
Same as for Basic Center
.
Finished Size:
About 8" across at widest points after washing and blocking
.
Special Stitches for this Doily:
Picot (p) - ch 3, sl st in front loop and front vertical bar of st just made
Double Crochet Picot (dcp) - ch 4, dc in front loop and front vertical bar of sc just made

Notes:
Doily will "ruffle" until washed and blocked
Rnd 19 may seem complicated, but it really is easy - it just took a good bit of explanation to be sure you obtain the proper result.  :o)

With Forest Green, work Rnds 1 - 5 of Basic Center, then, with New Ecru, work Rnds 6 - 8 ending Rnd 8 with; "ch 1, tr in first sc to join and form last ch-5 lp."

RND 9: ch 1, (sc, p, sc) in lp just made,[ch 5, (sc, p, sc) in next ch-5 lp] around, ch 2, dc in first sc to join and form last ch-5 lp. (40 sc, 20 p, 20 ch-5 lps)

RND 10: ch 5 (counts as first dc and 2 ch), dc in lp just made, ch 3, *(dc, ch 2, dc) in center ch of next ch-5 lp, ch 3*, rep from * to * around, join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-5. (40 dc, 20 ch-2 sps, 20 ch-3 sps)

RND 11: ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in same st as joining, *3 dc in next ch-2 sp, 2 dc in next dc, sc in next ch-3 sp**, 2 dc in next dc*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at **, join with sl st in top of beg ch-3.  Fasten Off New Ecru. (140 dc, 20 sc)

RND 12: join Burgundy with sc in first dc of any group of 7 dc, *(sc in next dc, ch 3, sk next dc) 2 times, sc in next 2 dc, ch 1, sk next sc**, sc in next dc*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at **, join with sl st in top of first sc. (100 sc, 40 ch-3 lps, 20 ch-1 sps)

RND 13: sl st in next sc and into ch-3 lp, (ch 1, sc) in same lp, *ch 3, sc in next ch-3 lp, ch 1, (tr, ch 1) 3 times in next ch-1 sp**, sc in next ch-3 lp*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at **, join with sl st in top of first sc. (60 tr, 40 sc, 20 ch-3 sps)

RND 14: sl st into ch-3 lp, (ch 1, sc) in same lp, *ch 1 dc in next tr, ch 2, (dc, ch 2) 2 times in next tr, dc in next tr, ch 1**, sc in next ch-3 lp*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at **, join with sl st in top of first sc.  Fasten Off Burgundy. (80 dc, 20 sc)

RND 15: join New Ecru with sc in first dc of any group of 4 dc, *(ch 3, sc in next dc) 3 times, dcp, sk next sc**, sc in next dc*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at **, join with sl st in top of first sc. (80 sc, 60 ch-3 lps, 20 dcp)

RND 16: sl st into ch-3 lp, (ch 1, sc) in same lp, *(ch 3, sc in next ch-3 lp) 2 times, 5 dc in ch-4 lp of next dcp**, sc in next ch-3 lp*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at **, join with sl st in top of first sc. (100 dc, 60 sc, 40 ch-3 lps)

Rnd 17: sl st into ch-3 lp, (ch 1, sc) in same lp, *ch 3 sc in next ch-3 lp, dc in next dc, (ch 1, dc in next dc) 4 times**, sc in next ch-3 lp*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at **, join with sl st in top of first sc. (100 dc, 40 sc, 20 ch-3 lps)

Rnd 18: sl st into ch-3 lp, (ch 1, sc) in same lp, *dc in next dc, (ch 2, dc in next dc) 4 times**, sc in next ch-3 lp*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at **, join with sl st in top of first sc.  Fasten Off New Ecru. (100 dc, 80 ch-2 sps, 20 sc)

Note: when working next Rnd, keep in mind that ALL Burgundy sc will be worked into the dc sts and ALL Forest Green sc will be worked into the ch-2 sps

Rnd 19: join Burgundy with sc in first dc After any sc, ch 4, remove loop from hook and drop to Wrong Side (Back) of work, join Forest Green with sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 4, remove loop from hook and drop to Wrong Side (Back) of work, [*pick up Burgundy and working In Front of Forest Green, sc in next dc**, ch 4, drop loop to Wrong Side, pick up Forest Green and working In Front of Burgundy, sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 4, drop loop to Wrong Side*, rep from * to * 2 More times, then rep from * to **, sk next sc°, sc in next dc, ch 4, drop loop to Wrong Side, pick up Forest Green and working In Front of Burgundy, sc in next ch-2 sp, ch 4, drop loop to Wrong Side] around ending final rep at °, join Burgundy with sl st in top of first Burgundy sc and Fasten Off, then, working In Front of first Burgundy ch-4 lp, join last Forest Green ch-4 lp with sl st in top of first Forest Green sc and Fasten Off.  Weave in ends. (100 Burgundy sc, 80 Burgundy ch-4 lps, 80 Forest Green sc, 80 Forest Green ch-4 lps)
