Davis Materials for May Doily: Size 10 cotton crochet thread - approx. 20 - 30 yds Myrtle Green PLUS Materials as stated in pattern for Basic Center . Gauge: Same as for Basic Center . Finished Size: About 6½" across at widest points after washing and blocking . Special Stitches for this Doily: In addition to Special Stitches for Basic Center Double Crochet Decrease (dc dec) - holding last loops of sts on hook, dc in next dc, sk next dc, dc in next dc, yo, draw through all 3 loops on hook . . With Myrtle Green, work Rnds 1 - 5 of Basic Center, then Rnds 6 - 8. . RND 9: sl st in next ch and into same ch-5 lp (this will get you to the proper position), ch 1, (sc, ch 4) 2 times in same lp and in each ch-5 lp around, join with sl st in top of first sc. (40 sc, 20 ch-4 sps, 20 ch-4 lps) . RNDS 10 & 11: sl st into ch-4 lp, ch 1, (sc, ch 4) 2 times in same lp, sk next ch-4 sp, *(sc, ch 4) 2 times in next ch-4 lp, sk next ch-4 sp*, rep from * to * around, join with sl st in top of first sc. (40 sc, 20 ch-4 sps, 20 ch-4 lps) . RNDS 12 & 13: sl st into ch-4 lp, ch 1, (sc, ch 4, sc) in same lp, ch 5, sk next ch sp, *(sc, ch 4, sc) in next ch-4 lp, ch 5, sk next ch sp*, rep from * to * around, join with sl st in top of first sc. (40 sc, 20 ch-5 sps, 20 ch-4 lps) . RND 14: sl st into ch-4 lp, ch 4 (counts as first dc and 1 ch), (dc, ch 1,) 3 times in same lp, tr in next ch-5 sp, ch 1, *(dc, ch 1,) 4 times in next ch-4 lp, tr in next ch-5 sp, ch 1*, rep from * to * around, join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-4. (80 dc, 20 tr) . RND 15: ch 5 (counts as first dc and 2 ch), dc in next dc, (ch 2, dc in next dc) 2 times, sk next ch-1 sp, dc in next tr, sk next ch-1 sp, *dc in next dc, (ch 2, dc in next dc) 3 times, sk next ch-1 sp, dc in next tr, sk next ch-1 sp*, rep from * to * around, join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-5. (100 dc) . RND 16: ch 4 (counts as first dc and 1 ch), *dc in ch-2 sp, ch 1, (dc in next dc, ch 1, dc in ch-2 sp, ch 1) 2 times**, dc dec, ch 1*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at **, dc in next dc until 2 loops remain, insert hook into 3rd ch of beg ch-4, yo, draw through all loops on hook (joining dc dec made). Fasten Off White. (100 dc, 20 dc dec) . RND 17: join Myrtle Green with sc in first dc after any dc dec, *(ch 4, sk next dc, sc in next dc) 2 times, ch 4, sk dc dec**, sc in next dc*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at **, join with sl st in top of first sc. (60 sc, 60 ch-4 lps) . RND 18: sl st into ch-4 lp, ch 1, (2 sc, ch 3, 2 sc) in same lp and in next ch-4 lp, 4 sc in next ch-4 lp, *(2 sc, ch 3, 2 sc) in each of next 2 ch-4 lps, 4 sc in next ch-4 lp*, rep from * to * around, join with sl st in top of first sc.
