Davis Materials for May Doily: Size 10 cotton crochet thread, approx. 30 yds Orchid Pink, 90 yds White, and 60 yds Mint Green (or desired colors); size 6 (1.8 mm) steel crochet hook (I used a Boye hook) OR Size Needed for Gauge (see Center #1 for Gauge) . Finished Size: About 12¾" across at widest points after washing and blocking . Special Stitches for this Doily: In addition to Special Stitches for Center Double Treble (dtr) - yo 3 times, insert hook in st or sp indicated, pull up lp, (yo, draw through 2 loops on hook) 4 times Triple Treble (ttr) - yo 4 times, insert hook in st or sp indicated, pull up lp, (yo, draw through 2 loops on hook) 5 times Front Post Treble (FPtr) - yo 2 times, insert hook from Front to Back to Front around post of st indicated, draw loop through, (yo, draw through 2 loops on hook) 3 times Front Post Treble Decrease (FPtr dec) - yo 2 times, insert hook from Front to Back to Front around both posts of 2 FPtr indicated, draw loop through, (yo, draw through 2 loops on hook) 3 times Double Crochet Decrease (dc dec) - holding last loops of sts on hook, dc in next 2 sts or sps as indicated, yo, draw through all 3 loops on hook Picot (p) - ch 3, sl st in front loop and front vertical bar of st just made Picot 2 (p2) - ch 3, sc in front loop and front vertical bar of sc just made . Notes: Doily may "ruffle" somewhat until washed and blocked . . With Orchid Pink, work Center #1 & Fasten Off at end of Rnd 8, then continue as follows: .
