Work number of chs required (ch-3 used here), keeping ch sts behind hook, insert hook as indicated in photo and complete the sl st (or other st as stated) . Click Here to see this worked into a double crochet st. Completed Picot.  This photo also shows the next worked st to demonstrate that the picot will fall "between" the sts. . Click Here to see this in a dc st. Y-Stitch (used in Centers #3 & #4 of the Beauties 2003 Series) . Work the tall stitch and chs as indicated (double treble and ch-3 shown here), .
