Changes for Size
30-40 Thread:
.
Make loops of pineapple
ch-4 instead of ch-3.
Start Row 2 of edging
with 12 dc in ch-2 sp.
Work Row 2 of edging
with groups of 8 dc instead of 6 dc.
"Corners" will have
12 dc instead of 10 dc.
These additional stitches
will insure that your bookmark lays flat.
.
Wash
& Block Bookmark, pinning to shape as needed.
Note: If you
decide to starch and pin the bookmark, be careful to only pull the edges
out enough so that the design shows well and does not overstretch the design.
.
Embellishments:
.
You may weave ribbons
through the tail shells or through the pineapple shells to make the bookmark
a little fancier looking. This should be done after any starching
or blocking that you may wish to do. Click
Here to see close-up examples of how this can be done.
