Thank You! :o) Materials: Approx. 90 yds size 10 cotton crochet thread (SouthMaid in Orchid Pink used for sample); size 6 (1.8mm) steel hook (I used a Boye hook) OR Size Needed for Gauge . Gauge: Rnds 1 - 4 = about 2" across . Finished Size: About 8" across at widest points after washing and blocking . Special Stitches: Beginning Shell (beg shl) - sl st in next dc and into ch-2 sp, (ch 3, dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same sp Shell (shl) - (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in sp indicated Shell in Shell (shl in shl) - (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 sp of next Shell Picot (p) - ch 3, sc in front loop and front vertical bar of last dc made . Note: Doily may "ruffle" slightly until washed and blocked . . Begin with ch 5, join with sl st in first ch to form ring. . Rnd 1: ch 1, (sc in ring, ch 3) 12 times, join with sl st in top of first sc. (12 sc, 12 ch-3 lps) . Rnd 2: sl st into ch-3 lp, ch 1, sc in same lp, ch 3, (sc in next ch-3 lp, ch 3) around, join with sl st in top of first sc. (12 sc, 12 ch-3 lps) . Rnd 3: sl st into ch-3 lp, ch 1, sc in same lp, (ch 4, sc in next ch-3 lp) around, ch 1, dc in top of first sc to join and form last ch-4 lp. (12 sc, 12 ch-4 lps) . Rnd 4: ch 1, sc in lp just made, (ch 4, sc in next ch-4 lp) around, ch 1, dc in top of first sc to join and form last ch-4 lp. (12 sc, 12 ch-4 lps) . Rnd 5: ch 1, sc in lp just made, (ch 5, sc in next ch-4 lp) around, ch 1, tr in top of first sc to join and form last ch-5 lp. (12 sc, 12 ch-5 lps) . Rnd 6: (ch 3, dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in lp just made, ch 2, (shl in next ch-5 lp, ch 2) around, join with sl st in top of beg ch-3. (12 shl, 12 ch-2 sps) . Note: All remaining Rnds will be joined as for Rnd 6 until otherwise specified. . Rnd 7: beg shl, ch 3, (shl in shl, ch 3) around, join. (12 shl, 12 ch-3 sps) . Rnd 8: beg shl, *ch 2, dc in next ch-3 sp, ch 2**, shl in shl*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at **, join. (12 shl, 12 dc, 24 ch-2 sps) . Rnd 9: beg shl, *ch 2, 2 dc in next dc, ch 2**, shl in shl*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at **, join. (12 shl, 24 dc, 24 ch-2 sps) . Rnd 10: beg shl, *ch 2, (2 dc in next dc, ch 2) 2 times (counts as a shl)**, shl in shl*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at **, join. (24 shl, 24 ch-2 sps) . Rnd 11: beg shl, ch 3, (shl in shl, ch 3) around, join. (24 shl, 24 ch-3 sps) . Rnd 12: ch 3, dc in next dc, *3 dc in ch-2 sp of shl, dc in each of next 2 dc, ch 1**, dc in each of next 2 dc*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at **, join. (168 dc, 24 ch-1 sps) . Rnd 13: ch 1, sc in same st as joining, *ch 3, sk next dc, dc in next dc, (dc, p, dc) in next dc, dc in next dc, ch 3, sk next dc, sc in next dc, sk ch-1 sp**, sc in next dc*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at **, join with sl st in top of first sc. Fasten Off. Weave in ends. (96 dc, 48 sc, 48 ch-3 sps, 24 p) . . Wash & Block Doily, pinning to shape as needed or desired.
