Quick -n- Easy Sachet

This sachet can be hung on the "neck" of a clothes
hanger and used to scent everything in your closet,
or it can be made without the hanging loop if you
prefer to use it in your dresser drawers!  :o)

Materials:
Worsted weight yarn, small amount each of 2 colors (Red Heart Super Saver in White and Petal Pink was used in sample); size H aluminum crochet hook (I used a Boye hook).

Finished Size:
About 5" across

MOTIF (make 2):
.
With first color ch 8, sl st in first ch to form ring.
.
Rnd 1: ch 6 (counts as first tr and 2 ch), (tr in ring, ch 2) 9 times, join with sl st in 4th ch of beg ch-6. (10 tr, 10 ch-2 sps)

Rnd 2: ch 1, sc in same st as joining, ch 4, (sc in next tr, ch 4) around, join with sl st in first sc.  Fasten Off. (10 sc, 10 ch-4 lps)

EDGING:

Note: Hanging Loop is optional and may be omitted.

Holding both motifs with wrong sides together and working through both thicknesses, join second color with sc in any ch-4 lp, (hdc, 3 dc, hdc, sc) in same lp, (sc, hdc, 3 dc, hdc, sc) in each of next 7 ch-4 lps, then repeat in remaining 2 ch-4 lps on front motif only, join with sl st in top of first sc, turn.  Working in the 2 unworked ch-4 lps on back motif, 5 sc in first lp, ch 14, sl st in front loop and front vertical bar of last sc made (Hanging Loop made), 5 sc in last ch-4 lp, join with sl st in top of sc of next scallop on front motif.  Fasten Off.  Weave in ends.

Scenting Ideas
.
Place potpourri-filled tulle netting inside sachet.
Put a few drops of a favorite perfume or cologne on a small cotton ball and wrap inside a larger "wad" of polyester fiberfill, then place inside sachet.
