Thank You! :o) Materials: Approx. 100 yds size 10 cotton crochet thread (hand-dyed thread in Pearl Gray used for sample); size 7 (1.65mm) steel hook (I used a Boye hook) OR Size Needed for Gauge . Gauge: Rnds 1 - 3 = about 1½" across . Finished Size: About 9½" across at widest points after washing and blocking . Special Stitches: Beginning Shell (beg shl) - sl st in next dc and into ch-2 sp, (ch 3, dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in same sp Shell (shl) - (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in st or sp indicated Shell in Shell (shl in shl) - (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 sp of next Shell Beginning Shell Increase (beg shl inc) - sl st in next dc and into ch-2 sp, [ch 3, dc, (ch 2, 2 dc) 2 times] in same sp Shell Increase (shl inc) - [2 dc, (ch 2, 2 dc) 2 times] in ch-2 sp of next Shell V-Stitch (V-st)- (dc, ch 1, dc) in st or sp indicated Picot (p) - ch 4, sl st in front loop and front vertical bar of last dc made Picot Loop (plp) - ch 5, sc in 4th ch from hook, ch 1 . Note: As is common with pineapple patterns, doily may "ruffle" until washed and blocked . . Begin with ch 5, join with sl st in first ch to form ring. . Rnd 1: ch 6 (counts as first dc and 3 ch), (dc in ring, ch 3) 5 times, join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-6. (6 dc, 6 ch-3 sps) . Rnd 2: ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), 2 dc in same st as joining, ch 3, (3 dc in next dc, ch 3) 5 times, join with sl st in top of beg ch-3. (18 dc, 6 ch-3 sps) . Rnd 3: ch 3, dc in same st as joining, *dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, ch 3**, 2 dc in next dc*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at **, join with sl st in top of beg ch-3. Rnd 4: ch 3, dc in same st as joining, *dc in each of next 3 dc, 2 dc in next dc, ch 3**, 2 dc in next dc*, rep from * to * around ending last rep at **, join with sl st in top of beg ch-3.
