Thank You! :o) Materials: Small amount acrylic worsted weight yarn (Red Heart Super Saver in Tropical Fruit used for sample); size H hook (I used a Boye hook) OR size needed for Gauge. . Gauge: 3 hdc = 1", 3 hdc rows = 1¼" . Finished Size: 6" square (for 7" square, work additional RNDS of Border in hdc or dc as needed OR add 2 ch to starting ch and work 1 additional st on each end of each row) . NOTES: Front of Row 1 is Right Side. Turning ch-2 at beginning of hdc rows is Not used or counted as a st. On Rows 4, 6, 8 and 10, work chain loops with slightly less tension than normal to allow for working shell into ch st on next Row. Square may need to be blocked to size. . . Begin with ch 21 . ROW 1: hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across, ch 2, turn. (19 hdc) . ROW 2: hdc in each st across, ch 2, turn. (19 hdc) . ROW 3: hdc in each st across, ch 1, turn. (19 hdc) . ROW 4: sc in first st, *ch 3, sk next 2 sts, sc in next st*, rep from * to * across, ch 3, turn. (7 sc, 6 ch-3 lps) . ROW 5: *3 dc in 2nd ch of ch-3 lp (shell made)*, rep from * to * across, dc in last sc, ch 1, turn. (2 dc, 6 shells) . ROW 6: sc in first st, *ch 3, sc in sp between next 2 shells*, rep from * to * across, working last sc in top of turning ch-3, ch 3, turn. (7 sc, 6 ch-3 lps) . ROWS 7 - 10: rep Rows 5 & 6, ending Row 10 with ch 2, turn. . ROW 11: *3 hdc in next ch-3 lp*, rep from * to * across, hdc in last sc, ch 2, turn. (19 hdc) . ROW 12: rep Row 2. . ROW 13: rep Row 3, turn to work around edge. . Border RND: sc in side of hdc just made, sc in end of next row, 2 sc in end of next row, sc in end of next row, (2 sc in end of dc row, sc in end of sc row) 3 times, 2 sc in end of next row, sc in end of next 2 rows. Working on opposite side of starting ch, 3 sc in first ch, sc in each ch across with 3 sc in same ch as first hdc, sc in side of same hdc, work in sc across ends of rows to correspond with other side, 3 sc in top of first hdc of last row, sc in each st across with 3 sc in last st, join with sl st in first sc.
